The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced a fresh wave of large-scale military strikes against Iran, confirming that the operations targeted a range of Iranian military sites and capabilities.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, CENTCOM detailed that the strikes were executed at 9:40 p.m. US Eastern Time. The operation involved US fighter jets, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), and warships, utilizing precision-guided munitions.
Key Iranian military infrastructure targeted
According to the statement, the strikes hit dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance sites, air defense systems, military logistics facilities, and naval assets.
CENTCOM noted that this operation marks the sixth consecutive night of US strikes against Iran, explaining that the military action aims to degrade Iran’s military capabilities and hold Tehran accountable for recent attacks on commercial shipping lanes.
The command emphasized that more than 50,000 US military personnel remain deployed across the Middle East, maintaining the highest levels of readiness, vigilance, and combat preparedness.
