Egypt to see temporary drop in temperatures: Egyptian Meteorological Authority

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a continued temporary drop in temperatures across parts of northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, on Monday, while southern Upper Egypt will be very hot.

The EMA explained that the weather will be hot and humid during the day in northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, while southern Upper Egypt will experience very hot and humid weather.

Evenings and early mornings will be slightly hot and humid across most of the country.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 35C in Greater Cairo, 29C on the northwestern coast, and 36C in Upper Egypt, while reaching 44C in southern Upper Egypt, with the perceived temperature rising due to increased humidity.

Weather maps indicate a chance of light rain in parts of Halayeb and the far south of the Eastern Desert at intervals, along with occasional wind activity across most areas, which may stir up sand and dust in parts of Halayeb.

The EMA also noted that maritime navigation will be disrupted along some Red Sea and Gulf of Suez coasts, with wind speeds ranging between 50-60 kilometers per hour and waves reaching heights of two to three meters.
