Egyptian TV host Amr Adib commented on the fire that broke out on two ships at Damietta Port following a drone strike, stressing that Egypt’s response to this breach must be firm and direct, RT Arabic reported.
In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Adib highlighted that the current situation demands a strict stance, writing: “Egypt’s must be strong, forceful, and clear. Those advocating for self-restraint should remain completely silent.”
He added: “Knowing the source of the drone is not impossible. A strike must be met with a harsher strike so we do not receive more drones. This is a case of self-defense, and no one can stop you or blame you under any law. Anyone who harbors ill intentions toward Egypt must pay a heavy price.”
Adib’s remarks follow an official statement issued by the Egyptian Cabinet, which confirmed that the fire aboard the two vessels at Damietta Port resulted from a drone strike, adding that no entity has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
