Agriculture Minister directs emergency food aid to Kalabsha village

Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Alaa Farouk ordered the immediate dispatch of a food aid convoy and extensive logistical support to Kalabsha village in Aswan Governorate to provide various forms of relief and services to around 750 families.

According to a Ministry statement, the convoy included large shipments of basic foodstuffs and other commodities, as well as large quantities of poultry, which are being distributed directly and free of charge to village families to ease their living burdens and meet their immediate needs.

The convoy also included an engineering and technical team to operate and maintain water pumps, with immediate repairs underway on non-operational pumping and irrigation systems to restore clean water supplies and ensure regular irrigation of crops.

The Ministry said that the move reflects its commitment to continuing to provide care and support to village residents following the recent transfer of administrative responsibility for the village to the governorate.

The Ministry added that monitoring teams will remain on the ground until all eligible families receive the food aid and services are fully restored.
