The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, dispatched the 281st “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza” convoy carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating and delivering humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.
The convoy carried tons of various humanitarian supplies, including more than 131,000 food baskets, flour, relief materials and medical supplies, as well as petroleum products needed to operate hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.
The ERC has maintained a presence at the border since the start of the crisis, keeping its logistics centers ready and intensifying efforts to prepare and deliver humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip.
The total volume of aid delivered has exceeded one million tons, with the participation of more than 75,000 volunteers from the organization.
