Al-Zomor: Adly ordered the opening of prisons during the revolution

Tarek al-Zomor, head of the Construction and Development Party, said that it was Habib al-Adly, Mubarak’s interior minister, who ordered the opening of prisons on 28 January so as to abort the revolution. “It was not the Muslim Brotherhood,” he said.

Zomor also wrote on Facebook that the goal now should be to unite all factions.

He also slammed the media. “The media of my country is either like a hypocrite or an honest man who does not find a place for himself except in the prisons,” he wrote.
