Alexandria harbor shot down due to bad weather

 
Alexandria port authorities announced on Monday shutting down the harbor, and halting the traffic in the ports of Alexandria and Dekheila, due to bad weather and increasing wind speed.
 
Major General Adel Yassin Hammad, head of the Alexandria Port Authority, said he decided to shut down the harbor, due to the increase in wind speed, waves height. 
 
The closure also aims to avoid ships colliding into each other, or into the port berths, and due to the safety of maritime navigation.
 
Starting Monday, Alexandria witnesses a rainstorm lasting for seven days, accompanied by northwesterly winds, with wind speeds ranging between 25 and 30 knots per hour.
