Arab League to discuss enforcement of Israel economic boycott

The Arab League will discuss efforts to enforce an economic boycott of Israel in a three-day meeting starting Tuesday.
 
Mohamed Sobeih, the Assistant Arab League Secretary General for Palestine and the Occupied Territories, and the General commissioner of the Central Boycott Office, said in a press release on Monday that the office, which is considered one of the main bodies of the Arab league, is to hold a three-day discussion on means to activate of an Arab economic boycott of Israel and amendments to the general principles of the boycott.. 
 
The meeting will consider sanctions on companies trading with Israel, Jewish-owned companies and seven European companies that have branches in Israel, as well as the ships and the commercial, tourist carriers which violate the general regulations of the boycott. Additionally, it will also discuss lifting the Arab sanctions on companies fully committed to the boycott..
 
The meeting's recommendations will be submitted to the Arab foreign ministers' next session in September.
