Beşiktaş president reveals negotiations are in place regarding Mohamed Salah

The president of Turkish club Beşiktaş, Serdal Adalı, confirmed that negotiations with Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah, the former Liverpool winger, are still ongoing.

In statements reported by the newspaper Hürriyet, Adalı said that significant progress has been made in the negotiations with Salah, but the deal is not yet finalized.

He added: “Nothing has been decided yet regarding signing Salah. After media reports indicated the deal was complete, the player’s agents changed the figures, trying to inflate them to astronomical levels.”

Adalı continued: “We didn’t accept that, and our negotiations are ongoing. We love Salah and agree with him on everything, but everyone should know that our priority is Besiktas’s best interests. We are moving forward in that direction. Our fans can rest assured.”

Mohamed Salah’s agent, Rami Abbas, stirred up controversy after writing on his official X account: “We still don’t know where Mohamed will play next season, but we may find out very soon.”

He added: “It’s not our style to hold discussions with clubs Mohamed doesn’t want to play for, just for the sake of creating a buzz.”
