Bomb squads defused an explosive device outside the embassy of Ghana in the upscale district of Mohandessin, west of Cairo early Sunday.
The bomb squad was notified by civilians in the area.
Egypt has seen a string of, sometimes deadly, bombings since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in 2013. Authorities have often blamed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood of being responsible for the bombings.
