Civil Aviation Minister Sameh al-Hefny, Youth and Sports Minister Gohar Nabil and Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar welcomed the National Football Team delegation upon its arrival at Alamein International Airport, in a reception highlighting the appreciation and pride over the team’s historic achievement at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The reception reflected the significance of the players’ performance, which marked a new chapter in Egyptian football history, strengthened the position of Egyptian sports on the global stage and brought joy to millions of Egyptians.
The welcome came in recognition of the national team’s historic feat of reaching the Round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time in Egyptian football history.
The team delegation arrived at Alamein International Airport aboard EgyptAir special flight MS3010. EgyptAir, the official carrier of the Egyptian national team during the 2026 World Cup under the slogan “You Made Us Proud,” operated the flight following the team’s historic participation in the tournament.
