Cold, rainy weather continues in Egypt on Monday

Meteorologists anticipate cold weather on the northern parts of Egypt up until northern Upper Egypt on Monday, with more moderate temperatures on southern Upper Egypt and growing very cold throughout the country by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16C in Alexandria, 17C in Cairo, 18C in Qena, 19C in Luxor, 20C in Aswan, and 21C in Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada.

Mist is expected during the morning hours across Egypt’s northern parts, disrupting visibility on the roads.

Low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated north of the country, accompanied by rainfall on the northern coasts, and on parts of Lower Egypt, possibly reaching Cairo.

Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate, active on the northwestern coasts, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, disturbing maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be rough, ranging between 2.5 and three meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height.

Surface winds will be northwestern on both seas.
