Cold temperatures expected for Friday, Cairo 18C

The Egyptian Metrological Authority (EMA) expects cold weather to prevail across northern parts of Egypt on Friday. Moderate weather is anticipated in Upper Egypt during daylight hours, with very cold temperatures throughout the night. Frost cover is expected on plantations in central Sinai.

Low and medium level cloud cover is predicted on the north, accompanied by rainfalls on the northern coasts, Cairo, northern parts of Upper Egypt, and Sinai.

Northwestern Winds are anticipated to be active in most parts of the country, carrying sands and dusts on some regions, potentially disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be rough and range from 3 to 3.5 meters, while waves in the Red sea will be moderate and range between 2 to 2.5 meters, with northwesterly surface winds on both.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 18C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 20C in Qena, 22C in Aswan, and 21C in Luxor.
