Construction work detours traffic at Giza’s 15th May Bridge

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic assigned traffic services to prepare for any traffic issues resulting from construction work being done to the 15th May Bridge, alongside development of the Sphinx Square’s entrances and exits.

Due to the development, the 15th May Bridge will be completely closed for up to three months, starting January 21 until April 18.

 

Detours

Vehicles coming from Gameat al-Dewal al-Arabeya St. and wishing to enter the 15th May Bridge towards areas of Zamalek and Downtown Cairo will need to continue towards Ahmed Orabi Street, then take a U turn from the new turnaround located below the 15th May Bridge.

They must then come again on Ahmed Orabi Street in the direction of Sphinx Square and ascend to the top of the 15th May Bridge through the newly created entrance leading to the areas of Zamalek and Downtown Cairo.

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic assigns the necessary traffic services and cooperates with the construction companies to put in place technical assistance ensure the safety of citizens.
