Court dismisses Raml Police Station storming case

On Thursday, Alexandria Misdemeanor Court dismissed a case relating to the storming of the Raml Police Station, in which 10 political activists are accused of charges related to rioting and protesting without a permit.

The court said it feared a conflict of interest and sent the case back to a lower court to choose a different constituency.

The activists are accused of blocking roads, rioting, insulting police during the trial of Khaled Saeed on 2 December and protesting without a permit as stipulated by the controversial protest law.

The session was held amid tight security measures.
