Custom duties for Saudi trucks cancelled

The Customs Department has cancelled the service suspension fees for trucks coming from Saudi Arabia, as they violate the Greater Arab Free Trade Area Agreement (GAFTA).
 
Meanwhile, Customs Department Director Magdy Abdel Aziz signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to facilitate bilateral trade movement and remove trade obstacles.
 
Saudi Customs Department Director Saleh bin Manie said customs in all the ports of the two countries would be based on the principle of reciprocity. He also said that they have agreed to exchange data in accordance with the rules on confidentiality.
 
The agreement will be submitted to the legislative bodies of the two countries for ratification.
