Dozens of settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque compound

Dozens of settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday, under the protection of Israeli forces.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that dozens of settlers entered the compound in groups, conducted tours, and performed Talmudic rituals, all under the protection of the Israeli forces.

Settlers also attacked shepherds in the Bedouin community of al-Hathroura, near Khan al-Ahmar, southeast of Jerusalem, preventing them from grazing their sheep.

The Jerusalem Governorate stated that settlers chased the shepherds and forced them to leave their land at gunpoint.

The Bedouin community of al-Hathroura is subject to repeated raids as part of a broader policy pursued by the occupation against Bedouin communities in the Jerusalem Governorate, particularly those stretching from Mikhmas to Wadi al-Nar.

Settlers have established approximately 23 outposts, which serve as assembly points from which they launch daily attacks against Palestinian Bedouins, forcing them to leave their lands.

In Masafer Yatta, West Bank, settlers continued their attacks on Palestinians, detaining several residents and attempting to steal their livestock.

Towns raided

Palestinian media reported that settlers wearing Israeli military uniforms detained six Palestinians near Khirbet al-Fakhit in Masafer Yatta, abusing them before releasing them.

Under the protection of the Israeli army, settlers chased shepherds in the Rajoum A’la area of Masafer Yatta, releasing their livestock, and conducting patrols on Palestinian-owned land and near homes in various residential areas.

Israeli forces also raided the towns of Turmus Ayya and Deir Dibwan, and the village of Burqa, in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, while tightening security measures at the eastern entrance to Hebron.

Additionally, Israeli forces arrested a young man from the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that the young man, Mujahid Ahmed Salah, was arrested after Israeli forces raided and searched his home in Kafr Dan.
