Efforts to end Sufi divisions in Egypt

The Council of Sufi Orders on Wednesday held its first reconciliation session with the so-called Reform Front, which has been staging a sit-in at the council’s headquarters for 65 days.

Sufi Sheikh Tarek al-Refaay said the orders’ leaders decided to form a committee of eight wise men to reach a solution for the two-year-old discord, and save the Sufi institution from collapse.
