Egypt army sends 500 tons of aid to Gaza

Egypt’s Defense Minister Sedqy Sobhy has ordered 500 tons of food and medical material to be delivered to Gaza, which has been under an Israeli military offensive for days.
At least 98 have been killed in the Israeli assault as the government in Tel Aviv reportedly is threatening a land invasion.
Gamal al-Shobaky, Palestinian Authority ambassador to Egypt and the Arab League, said he is grateful for the “honest and brotherly” stance of the Egyptian government and political parties.
He also thanked the Egyptian government for opening the Rafah land crossing to receive Palestinians wounded in the Israeli raids.
