Egypt establishes its first rehabilitation center for people with special needs

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik inaugurated on Thursday the Rehabilitation Center for People with Special Needs, established by the Ministry of Interior in 10th of Ramadan City.

The ministers of social solidarity, education, and youth and sports, as well as the Sharqiya governor attended the event.

This center is one of the largest Arab and African rehabilitation centers for people with special needs. It was implemented by the Ministry of Interior on an area of ​​24,000 square meters aiming to integrate them into society in addition to strengthening the social role of the interior ministry. The center includes green areas that make up up to 70 percent of the total area. It was implemented in four months.

The center includes a clinics area equipped with the latest medical equipment for diagnosis and treatment, a department of hydrotherapy, and a gymnasium.

The site aims to provide a complete system of services for people with special needs, in compliance with international standards.

It also has workshops and rooms for arts, music and computers, equipped with the latest equipment and tools, in addition to a number of areas that have been allocated for games designed for people with special needs.

The center contains rooms dedicated to hosting people with special needs and their families.
