Egypt, Kuwait FMs stress need to intensify efforts to de-escalate regional tensions

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed, during a phone call on Sunday, Aug 2, 2026, the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions, prevent the conflict from widening and support political and diplomatic tracks aimed at restoring regional security and stability.

The call came as part of ongoing consultations and coordination between the two brotherly countries on issues of mutual concern.

The two ministers exchanged views on the rapidly evolving regional developments and underscored the importance of maintaining close coordination and consultations in the coming period to support efforts aimed at containing tensions and preserving the region’s security and stability.
