Egypt to Renovate Tutankhamen Mask

Egypt's Tutankhamen mask is currently being scanned prior to its renovation, announced the Egyptian Museum director on Tuesday.

Germany's Foreign ministry donated 50,000 euros for renovating the mask which belongs to ancient Egypt's youngest king, reported the state news agency MENA.

The renovation is coming after the golden mask had been crudely glued back together as its chin fell off in January.

It will be implemented by the Archaeological Institute in Cairo and the Roman-Germanic Museum in Mainz.

Tutankhamen, the boy king,  belongs to 18th dynasty and his tomb was discovered in 1922.
