Egypt’s market gains LE12 billion in July

Egyptian Exchange closed this month with gains amounting to LE12.3 billion.

The capital market hit LE497.4 billion compared to LE485.1 billion in June.

During the course of the month, the benchmark index EGX 30 declined 2.15 percent to record 8,192 points, said a monthly report issued by the Egyptian Exchange.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 3.24 percent to reach 459 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index upped by 0.25 percent taking the index to 944 points.
