Egyptian application tells you where the bomb is

No one could have imagined that an application could tell you where to avoid bombs, but the mobile application “beyolak” has recently begun to add this to the notification services they provide.

In 2010, five young Egyptians launched “beyolak” on their website as an application for mobile phones that collects information from people in the streets to help you avoid traffic jams.

In the past few days, it has now begun to warn locals about bombs, including that a bomb was found in Raml Station in Alexandria, that the Metro line was stopped in al-Marg because of another bomb, that the Maadi Courniche was closed because of a bomb and that trains from Cairo to Alexandria were stopped because of a suspicious object found in the Shubra tunnel.

“It seems bombs have become a daily routine to the extent that they have a special hashtag now,” tweeted a subscriber.
