Emir of Kuwait: We will stand by Egypt

Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, on Wednesday met with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who is on a tour to discuss developments in the region, especially in Iraq. 

He told the Emir that Cairo hopes for an Iraqi national participation of all political forces of the community so as to preserve the unity and sovereignty of their country and protect the rest of the region from adverse consequences.
He also discussed the situation in the Palestinian territories in light of the recent escalation and the need to stop the Israeli aggression and commit to the truce that was reached in 2012. 
For his part, the Emir of Kuwait said his country will stand by Egypt at this important stage of its history, adding that Egypt has always supported Kuwait and stressed that Egypt's stability and prosperity means the stability and prosperity of all the Arab countries. 
Shoukry also met with Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who confirmed solidarity and cooperation with Egypt during the next phase.
