Fire destroys shops in Aswan

A fire broke out at dawn on Tuesday in the market area of ​​the tourist city of Aswan, destroying five shops and causing damage to a number of other shops. 
 
Civil Protection Forces and six fire trucks headed to the scene in an attempt to put out the fire before it spread to nearby buildings. 
 
A Civil Protection soldier suffered injuries from electricity as he put out the fire. Initial investigations showed the fire was caused by a short circuit and estimated losses at LE500,000.
