Five people were killed and four others injured in a collision between two transport vehicles at Kilometer 35 on the Edfu-Marsa Alam road, near the Al-Sheikha Atifa area north of Aswan.
The Aswan Ambulance Service received a report Friday morning regarding a head-on collision between two pickup trucks on the Edfu-Marsa Alam highway. Emergency response units, including Civil Defense and several ambulances, were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the two vehicles collided head-on while traveling in opposite directions, causing both to overturn and catch fire.
The incident resulted in five fatalities and four injuries, with three of the survivors reported to be in critical condition. The deceased were transported to the Edfu morgue, while the injured were rushed to the Nile Hospital in Edfu to receive urgent medical care.
