Giza police on Wednesday shot dead an intruder at the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC), after he had stabbed two administrative security personnel with a penknife.
The intruder had attempted to break into the Movenpick Hotel’s gate at the EMPC until the police stopped him.
The Assistant Minster of Interior for Giza Security was notified on the incident and opened up an investigation.
After police moved to the scene, they retrieved footage from the hotel’s surveillance cameras and listened to eyewitnesses.
The police then filed a report on the incident and referred it to prosecution to finish investigations.
