Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with CEO and Managing Director of Orange Egypt Hisham Mahran and his accompanying delegation prospects for joint cooperation to support the state’s efforts to build an integrated digital healthcare system.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the meeting tackled opportunities for cooperation in advancing digital transformation within the healthcare sector, in line with the implementation of the national digital health strategy.
He added that the minister reviewed a proposed cooperation plan presented by Orange Egypt, noting that discussions also addressed mechanisms for digitizing the current health insurance system, particularly given its large patient database.
Such efforts would help facilitate the future rollout of the comprehensive health insurance system, the spokesman said.
