High temperatures continue across Egypt for Thursday and Friday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather north of Egypt and very hot weather south of Egypt for Thursday and Friday.

Thursday will see warm and humid weather at Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate temperatures on the northern coasts, hot weather on South Sinai and north of Upper Egypt, and very high temperatures south of Upper Egypt.

Mists are expected during the morning hours on Greater Cairo and the northeastern coasts.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in the northern coasts and central Sinai, 33C in Lower Egypt, 34C in Cairo, 37C north of Upper Egypt, 38C in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, and 41C south of Upper Egypt.

Winds will be moderate on Lower Egypt and the northeastern coasts.

Warm weather will continue on Friday for Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with mild weather predicted at the northern coasts, high temperatures on South Sinai, north of Upper Egypt and the Red Sea mountains, and very hot weather south of Upper Egypt.

Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northwestern coasts will see mists during the morning.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in the northern coasts and central Sinai, 34C in Lower Egypt, 35C in Cairo, 36C north of Upper Egypt, 37C in South Sinai and the Red Sea mountain range, and 40C south of Upper Egypt.

Winds will continue to be moderate on Lower Egypt and the northeastern coasts.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that the country is currently being affected by the Indian summer monsoon, which is typical every summer and makes the country’s weather hotter and more humid.
