Hot weather expected for Friday, Cairo: 33C

 

Meteorologists expect hot weather on Friday across the country’s northern coasts, Lower Egypt, and Cairo. Hotter weather is expected for northern Upper Egypt.

The hottest temperatures are predicted for southern Upper Egypt during the day, growing milder at night.

Maximum temperatures are expected in the following cities as follows: 33C in Cairo, 31C in Alexandria, 39C in Qena, 40C in Luxor and 41C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning, and low and medium-level clouds will cover the north of the country.

Winds will be mainly northwesterly in direction and moderate in strength, active in South Sinai. Active wind is expected to disturb navigation in the Gulf of Suez, the Red Sea, and the western part of the Mediterranean Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 meters and 2 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between 2 meters and 2.5 meters high.
