Hot weather expected Wednesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects slightly hot weather on Wednesday for Lower Egypt and Cairo, moderate weather for the north coast, and hot temperatures in the northern part of Upper Egypt. The weather will be very hot in the southern part of Upper Egypt during the day, but moderate at night, the authority said in a statement Tuesday.
 
Mist will affect visibility in the morning and low- and medium-level clouds are expected in the north, accompanied by light rain. Rain could also fall on the northern part of Lower Egypt, as well as Cairo. Winds will be moderate and northeasterly. 
 
Winds are expected to be stronger in the northern part of Upper Egypt, Sinai, the Suez Gulf and the Red Sea, disrupting navigation.
 
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be between 1.5-2 meters high, with northwesterly surface winds.
 
Waves in the Red Sea will be between 2-2.5 meters high, with northwesterly surface winds.
 
Expected maximum temperatures on Tuesday: Cairo: 33C, Alexandria: 30C, Hurghada: 37C, Luxor: 40C, Aswan: 41C.
