A small blast took place early Sunday in front of the Giza deportations police station near the South Giza Court after an unidentified IED exploded in a police truck.
The blast only partially damaged the truck and did not result in any casualties.
Tamer Timor, the Giza explosives expert, rushed to the scene to inspect the site, while security forces imposed a security cordon around the area.
Security forces combed the area in search of any other explosive devices inside the Giza Metro and the South Giza Court.
The perpetrators of the attack remains unknown and is currently under investigation.
