Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhry abdel Nour began on Wednesday his three-day visit to Italy, aimed at reaching an agreement over re-operating the navigational route between Egypt and Italy.
According to the minister, the route would contribute to boosting bilateral trade and facilitate the access of Egyptian exports to Europe, in addition to facilitating the entry of Italian and European products into Africa.
Abdel Nour will meet with representatives of 23 major Italian companies, who are interested in the Egyptian market.
He will also visit the Egyptian pavillon at the Expo Milan exhibition, which will also be visited by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb in July.
