Israel’s Prime Minister offers condolences to families of fallen Israeli soldiers

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday offered his condolences to the families of the soldiers who were killed in Gaza on Tuesday, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported.

In a video clip released by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, Netanyahu said: “We are in a difficult war. It will be a long war and we have important achievements in it, but we also have painful losses.”

“We know that each of our soldiers is a whole world. The entire Israeli people embrace you, families, from the bottom of our hearts. We are all with you in your great time of grief.”

The Israeli prime minister continued: “Our soldiers fell in an unjust war, the war for our homeland. I promise you, citizens of Israel – We will complete the mission, we will continue until victory.”

Israel launched its ground attack on Tuesday targeting the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza – killing and wounding hundreds of Palestinians.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 20 houses in the camp were completely destroyed.
