Jordan airdrops second batch of medical aid into Gaza

The Jordanian army announced that its air force carried out a second airdrop of medical aid into Gaza on Saturday, which it says “comes to enhance the capabilities of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza.”

An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army said that, under royal directives, a Royal Air Force plane dropped urgent medical aid for the second time using parachutes to the Jordanian field hospital,Gaza-76.

The landing operation came in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, to enhance the hospital’s capabilities and aid medical personnel in providing health and treatment services to alleviate the suffering of the people in the Gaza Strip.

The Jordanian armed forces confirmed that the hospital is continuing its work despite difficult conditions as a result of the ongoing Israeli assault.

This step comes as a continuation of Jordan’s efforts to stand by the Palestinian people in light of the war on the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian parliamentarian Mahmoud Badr sent a message to Arab countries after the success of the Jordanian Air Force in sending aid to Gaza for the first time by airdrop.

Badr said in a tweet: “Jordan and King Abdullah have proven to you that there are ways to enter Gaza other than the Rafah crossing. Leave us the crossing so we (Egyptians) can enter our aid through it. Show us your enthusiasm.”

He continued: “We want to see the Turkish and Qatari Air Forces exclusively on the island as they drop aid. Everyone who is competing with us should ask their country to send its Air Force. It’s easy, right? Come on…show us your enthusiasm.”
