Kuwait sets new conditions for work permits to Egyptians

Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad Amr Moawad said on Monday that Kuwait has developed new regulations for granting Egyptian expatriates work permits. Citizens will now have to present a clear criminal record certificate endorsed by the Egyptian interior and foreign ministries and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo.

Moawad warned that the criminal record is only valid for three months. He also noted that other documents, such as school certificates, experience certificates, birth certificates, driving licenses and other documents should also be certified by the Foreign Ministry.
