Marsa Alam, Hurghada receive 83 flights from Europe on Wednesday

Operating schedules at Marsa Alam and Hurghada international airports, on Wednesday showed that the two airports received 83 regular and charter flights, including two flights from Russia.

Hurghada International Airport received 77 regular and charter flights from various European airports and two flights from Russia.

Flights from Germany topped the list of flights to the airport.

Marsa Alam International Airport received four European flights.

Officials of travel agencies and the Tourist Guides Syndicate in Hurghada reiterated demands for the competent authorities to quickly open Qena-Luxor eastern desert road for the daily tourist grouping trips coming from the beach tourism areas in the Red Sea.

This was to activate cultural tourism in Luxor and end their daily suffering on the agricultural road they are currently allowed to use.

They added that the tourist grouping trips are the main source of cultural tourism in Luxor.

Between 25 percent and 35 percent of tourists who visit the Red Sea Governorate participate in cultural tourism trips to Luxor, they said.

On Sunday, Hurghada International Airport received 87 regular and charter flights from various European airports, while flights from Germany topped the list of flights.

Marsa Alam International Airport received on Sunday 18 regular and charter flights from various European airports.

Russia halted flights and evacuated its tourists in March due to its war in Ukraine.
