Medical committee submits report on Mubarak’s health

Judicial sources said on Tuesday that the newly formed medical committee to determine the health of deposed President Hosni Mubarak examined him at the Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital on Monday and sent its report to the attorney general.

The committee also inspected the Tora prison hospital in case Mubarak is moved there.

Medical sources said the report confirmed that Mubarak’s health is stable but that he should stay in Sharm el-Sheikh until the prison hospital is properly equipped to receive him.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry intensified security around the hospital where Mubarak is being held in anticipation of more demonstrations demanding his departure. Scores of workers in tourism have already demonstrated before the hospital, saying his presence adversely affects tourism in the Red Sea resort.
