Moderate weather expected for Friday, Cairo: 20C

Meteorologists anticipate moderate weather on Friday, between Egypt’s north coasts and the north of Upper Egypt. Meanwhile, warm weather is expected for the south of Upper Egypt during daylight hours, growing very cold at night.

Maximum temperatures predicted include 20C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 21C in Qena, 22C in Aswan, and 22C in Luxor.

Mist will affect visibility in the country’s northern areas until the north of Upper Egypt.  Low and medium-level clouds will cover the country’s north, accompanied by rainfall on the northwestern coasts.

Winds are expected to be northwesterly and moderate. They will be active in the north of Upper Egypt, and may disturb navigation in the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height.

Surface winds will be northwesterly for both seas.
