Moderately cold weather, light rains across Egypt on Wednesday

Meteorologists anticipate cold weather and light rains on Wednesday during the daytime at Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northwestern Coasts, with colder temperatures on the northeast coasts and central Sinai and moderate temperatures at Upper Egypt.

South Sinai, Southern Upper Egypt and the Red Sea mountains will see moderately warm temperatures, with the weather across the country expected to grow much colder by nightfall.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 17C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 22C in Qena and Luxor, and 23C in Aswan.

Light rains are predicted along northern Upper Egypt, while moderate rains will drop at South Sinai. Central Sinai and the northeastern coasts might see heavy rains, with possible thunderstorms at the northwestern coasts.

Winds will be moderate in Cairo and Lower Egypt, more active along the northern coasts, center of Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, potentially disturbing sand and dust south of Upper Egypt and disrupting maritime navigation at the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters with northeasterly to northwesterly winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height with northwesterly winds.
