Moderately hot weather for most of Egypt on Thursday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather during the daytime on Thursday in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and north of Upper Egypt, with moderate temperatures on the northern coasts and very hot temperatures in southern Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will grow milder at night nationwide, with moderate temperatures expected for Upper Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 28C in Alexandria, 33C in Cairo, 38C in Qena, and 39C in Luxor, and 40C in Aswan.

Winds are predicted to be active in Cairo, Lower Egypt, on the northern coasts, and in Upper Egypt and South Sinai, kicking up dust and sand in some areas and possibly disrupting maritime navigation.

Minimum and maximum humidity levels expected are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 35-83 percent, the northern coasts 48-88 percent, northern Upper Egypt 28-55 percent, and southern Upper Egypt 15-35 percent.

Waves in the Mediterranean will be light to moderate, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough, ranging between two to three meters, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
