Short circuit sets Morsy’s Hurghada campaign office on fire

The Hurghada office of the presidential campaign of Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsy caught fire Tuesday due to a short circuit.

Investigations by Hurghada's security authorities said that the fire destroyed all the office's contents before a firefighting brigade managed to put it out, preventing the blaze from extending to nearby shops and bus stops.

Strong winds helped the fire spread more quickly, according to the investigations.

Initial losses from the damage have been estimated at approximately LE20,000.
