The Palestinian government on Friday 1/8/2025 praised the pivotal role played by Egypt’s leadership, government, and people in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, consolidating the ceasefire, and working towards a comprehensive end to the war in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement carried by WAFA news agency, the Palestinian government commended the ongoing efforts of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Egyptian government in coordinating relief operations with international and UN agencies active in Gaza, as well as the preparations underway for the upcoming international conference on Gaza’s reconstruction.
The Palestinian government also expressed its full solidarity with Egypt in facing political and media pressures and campaigns.
It affirmed its appreciation for Egypt’s firm stance rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians from the enclave and supporting the unity of Palestinian national institutions and their political representation, ensuring the protection of the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights and the realization of the Palestinian state in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and Gaza.
