Palestinian group says it sniped Israeli soldier

Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, a coalition of armed Palestinian factions, today declared responsibility  for sniping an Israeli soldier along the Gaza border.

In a statement to the press, the group said some of its members had managed to shoot an Israeli soldier who was part of a special force that moved this morning toward the outskirts of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.

The group said the operation comes as a response to the continuous Zionist attacks on the Gaza Strip and the rest of the Palestinian territories.

In related news, the al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades also said in another statement that some of its members fired a missile yesterday at an Israeli patrol that moved close to the security fence around the Gaza Strip.

A spokesperson for the the Israeli military told Israeli Radio that an Israeli force that was combing the area close to the security fence bordering the Gaza Strip was hit by a missile yesterday. He added that there were no injuries or damages and that the patrol fired back.
