The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced the completion of its comprehensive preparations to receive official delegations and guests arriving from various countries worldwide to participate in the unique historical event that embodies Egypt’s greatness and civilization spanning thousands of years.

This comes as part of the Egyptian state’s preparations for the grand opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on Saturday.

The Ministry explained that it is implementing an integrated operational plan at both Sphinx and Cairo International Airports, in full coordination with various ministries and concerned authorities.

Field teams, including leaders from the Ministry and its affiliated companies, have been formed to oversee the implementation of the plan, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, fluidity, and integration among all parties. The goal is to present the event in a civilized manner befitting Egypt’s stature and leadership on the international stage.

The Ministry also noted that the GEM’s opening ceremonies and events will be broadcast directly on screens in Cairo International Airport, Sphinx International Airport, and all other Egyptian airports. This is intended to allow the departure and arrival halls to experience the atmosphere of this historic national event in parallel with the celebration held at the Pyramids area, in a celebratory scene that reflects the pride of Egyptians in this great achievement.

Furthermore, Cairo International Airport has raised its readiness to the maximum level across all passenger terminals (1, 2, 3, and 4) to receive VIPs, official delegations, and guests.

This was achieved through a comprehensive development plan, including the preparation of dedicated counters for arriving delegations and the placement of multi-lingual informational banners about the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The Minister of Civil Aviation also indicated that EgyptAir is the official carrier for the celebration, underscoring its pivotal role and national importance in supporting the organizational and coordination efforts for such significant events.
