Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly phoned his Palestinian counterpart Mohammad Mustafa on Tuesday 2/4/2024 to congratulate him on the formation of the new Palestinian government.
During the phone conversation, Madbouly lauded strong and historical ties between Egyptian and Palestinian peoples, wishing the new government further success to serve the Palestinian people and attain their aspirations.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s firm stance on supporting legitimate rights of the Palestinian people with the establishment of an independent state, with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.
Madbouly also shed light on Egypt’s efforts to reach an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza and increase the delivery of humanitarian aid for the Palestinians.
