PM: Egypt desires to solve investment disputes before economic summit in March

Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb emphasized the government's desire to solve investment related disputes quickly before the Egyptian Economic Forum due to be held in March 2015, according to a statement published on the Danish Embassy in Egypt official website.

This came during a meeting between the Prime Minister and a delegation from the Danish Business Club DBCC.

DBCC is a group of Danish companies operating in Egypt. The Ambassador of Denmark, Pernille Kardel, said that the government's desire to solve investment related disputes amicably gives a positive message on Egypt's support to foreign investments and businesses.

The PM explained that the Egyptian government plans to launch some mega projects during the Economic Forum, where Danish companies are welcome to participate, according to a statement.

"Egypt is currently in the final stages of implementing its Road Map, as parliamentary elections are planned to take place in March 2015," the statement added.

Mehleb also underlined the government's endeavours to achieve economic, legal and administrative reforms with the aim of boosting the Egyptian economy.

Kardel added that many of the participating Danish companies are indeed interested in the mega project Egypt is planning to launch in 2015, especially the New Suez Canal and the Damietta Port.
