PM highlights role of real estate sector in economic growth, job creation

CAIRO, Dec 16 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Tuesday emphasized the vital role of the real estate development and construction sectors, describing them as key engines for economic growth and job creation.

During a meeting at the government headquarters in the New Capital, Madbouly reviewed the outcome of the Advisory Committee for Urban Development’s work.

“In light of current positive economic indicators, I am keen to meet with you to enhance support for this sector, which the government views as a locomotive for numerous industries,” Madbouly said.

The prime minister noted that real estate export — the sale of local property to foreign buyers — is a top government priority for attracting hard currency.

He announced that the government is expanding the inclusion of new cities on the official digital platform for real estate exports and is working to activate a unified national identification number for properties.

These steps aim to ensure transparency and reliability for foreign investors, he added.

Members of the advisory committee highlighted a major expansion in the construction sector and called for an increase in the supply of raw materials. (MENA)
