
SHEBIN EL-KOM, Egypt, Sept 30 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and his accompanying delegation inspected the development work of Shebin El-Kom and inaugurated the new tourist walkway in the city, as part of his visit to Menoufia governorate on Tuesday.
During his tour of the Shebin El-Kom corniche, Madbouly listened to a briefing from Menoufia Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon who explained that the renovation of the old corniche covers a 1.6 kilometer-long area. These development efforts are part of the governorate’s comprehensive plan to create a modern, aesthetic urban façade and provide recreational spaces for residents and visitors, the governor said.
The prime minister also inaugurated the new tourist walkway in Shebin El-Kom. He listened to a briefing from the governor, who explained that the new walkway spans 500 meters and serves as a distinctive and service-oriented recreational space for residents and visitors of the governorate, which lies in northern Egypt in the Nile Delta.
The governor emphasized that this project is a top priority and a significant urban development step. It coincides with a comprehensive development plan for Shebin El-Kom corniche. He noted that the implementation of the new walkway has included the completion of marble bench installations and shading structures.
He added that the ongoing works also involve the construction of a fountain, pergolas, spaces with landscape, interlocking tiles, curbstones, as well as the establishment of various shops. (MENA)
